The International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) is the global network of building and construction professionals who enhance their performance through international collaboration and information exchange with their peers to improve the quality and impact of research and innovation activities in the sector.

The Commission focuses on the integrated development of both intelligent and sustainable aspects of the built environment and will promote high performance and innovative solutions for improved sustainability. It follows multidisciplinary approaches based on the functional use of and interaction with the natural environment.

The Commission’s work programme aims to organise CIB-SASBE conferences and to facilitate information dissemination and knowledge management on research and best practices through the conference proceedings.
